The Cincinnati Broomball Association (CBA) is a non-profit organization created in 1992 to organize, promote and grow the sport of Broomball in the Greater Cincinnati area.

The CBA offers broomball leagues year-round at varying levels of competition.  As a result of our strong local following, we routinely field teams that travel to tournaments as far away as New York, Iowa, and Minnesota.

Broomfest - CBA Tourney Teams

posted Jun 18, 2009 10:20 AM by Brian Kaeppner   [ updated Jun 18, 2009 12:13 PM ]

Want to play at Broomfest? Please sign up on the Free Agents list.  In the free response field indicate that you want to play at "Broomfest".  For now, we are limiting CBA participation to two teams (Cincy Royals; Cincy Stingers).  Players who do not get on a CBA team may still be placed on an incoming team roster, depending on need.

What is the player selection process? It's not defined yet.  If there is overwhelming interest, we'll likely use a process similar to that of the Blender League.

Why limiting to 2 teams?  The overall goal is to have 8 teams total, so that we have room for Chicago, Detroit, Indy, Dayton, Columbus, New York, or any other folks travelling in from out of town.  Should we fall short of that goal, we will "open up" to form more CBA teams.

Predicted Teams: 2 Cincinnati + 2 Dayton + 1 Indy + 1 Michigan + 2 OPEN

New Website Launch

I'm guessing you've noticed the drastic change to the CBA website. While this change was sorta forced on us by Google, we have taken the opportunity to reorganize things a bit.

One important new feature is the Free Agent List. Players looking for a team should sign up, while captains looking for players should check the list. Once a free agent has been picked up, let me know so I can update the list.  If you have other suggestions, please let me know!

Look forward to seeing you on the ice this summer!
