Helmets are a must.

For obvious reasons, wearing a helmet while playing broomball is extremely important for your personal safety.  The CBA supplies some basic helmets, fashioned by Mylec.  These lightweight helmets are good for broomball, but are not the "best" quality available on the market.  The CBA strongly encourages players to purchase their own helmets, for best fit and improved protection.

Face-cages:  Some players prefer a helmet without a wire cage or shield.  Use of a face-cage is highly encouraged.  See a picture at right of a LUCKY individual who took a broom to the face.  He's lucky to still have his left eye!
