2010.Q1 Winter

2010 Winter Season Starts Sunday, January 10* at the Cincinnati Gardens.

DEADLINE = Wednesday, January 6, 2010 for payment & registration.

* Scheduling Note for 2010 - Beginner league games will start on Jan 10, with Mixed & Experienced starting the following week.  This is to accommodate players traveling to the Syracuse tournament, as well as to reduce the number of "byes" between weeks for the Beginner league (depending on overall # of teams). 

Captains:
As you coordinate your teams, take into account the guidelines below with regard to placing your team in a league.  As usual, players may play in more than one level/league, as appropriate, but may only play on one team per league, even as a substitute.  Players may not change teams during a season, except in rare cases which may be approved by CBA leadership.

Beginner Co-ed (6 games) - Cost: $500 team / $50 individual
  • Sign up as an individual free agent or as full team.
  • Teams should be comprised mostly of players that have never played broomball and don't own broomball shoes. 
    • Returning teams that won 3 or more games in the previous season should move up to Mixed Co-ed level.
    • Exceptions will be allowed if there are enough true-beginner players to remain at this level.
  • There may be cross-over games with the Mixed Co-ed league.
Mixed Co-ed (6 or 8 games, your choice) - Cost: $555* team (6 games) / $740 (8 games)
  • Sign up as full teams only.
  • Teams should have a 50-50 mix of beginner and experienced players.
    • Returning teams that won 3 or more games in the previous season should move up to Experienced level.
    • Exceptions will be allowed if the team roster has changed significantly to align with 50-50 mix.
  • There may be cross-over games with Beginner Co-ed and with Experienced Co-ed.
  • * Mixed league play has 2 paid referees instead of 1, so fees are slightly more.
Experienced Co-ed (8 games) - Cost: $740 / team
  • Sign up as full teams only.
  • Teams consist of mostly of experienced players (generally meaning 2 or more seasons played)
  • There may be cross-over games with Mixed Co-Ed.
Advanced Unrestricted (6 games) - Cost: $555 / team
  • Sign up as full teams only.
  • Targeted for competitive, experienced players.
    • No constraints on male / female players on the ice
    • Treats men and women equally (i.e., all goals worth 1 point)
